What do you do in your role?
I’m a Lending Specialist – I organise home loans for purchases and refinances of residential and investment properties, including self managed super funds.
What have you done before working for WLTH?
I worked as a mortgage broker for Aussie Home Loans for a few years, then took some time off to raise my children. My husband and I owned a transport company for 17 years, which I managed from home.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
I have two teenage boys, so we’re an active, outdoor family. If we’re not jet-skiing, we’re riding dirt bikes. I also enjoy playing tennis and golf.
What is something that people don't know about you?
I’m a bit of a dare-devil. I’ve been white river rafting down the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. Dodging crocodiles along the way ensures you stay glued to the raft!! After 15kms of raging river currents, we had a 750m vertical hike back up the mountain carrying our raft. Not for the faint hearted!
What is your favourite food/drink?
Hands down the best ribs in town are from Mike’s Kitchen – a South African restaurant on the Gold Coast (not that I’m biased being a fellow South African, but it has won many awards and is popular amongst the Aussies too!) Then finish it off with a Dom Pedro, which is an alcoholic milkshake served with Baileys, absolutely delicious!!
Where is your favourite place you have been to and why?
My favourite place is the Kruger National Park Game Reserve in South Africa. Being able to see wild animals including the Big 5, roam free in their natural habitat, is quite humbling. Nothing quite like it anywhere in the world – definitely a must see for your bucket list!!
